Over the past 40 years, I've honed a diverse array of artisanal skills that uniquely position me to deliver premium upholstery services here in Charleston, South Carolina. Beginning at age 16, I began painting murals and decorative finishes, including Venetian plasters and other high-end techniques, while simultaneously learning carpentry and woodworking. This foundation led to collaborations with half a dozen studios in the DC metro area and 25 years of creating exquisite, custom finishes in clients' homes, encompassing regular painting, spray applications, and ultra-glossy coatings. For two decades as a union carpenter, I traveled across the U.S. installing fire and smoke curtains in commercial buildings, gaining expertise in low-voltage electrical systems and even developing and testing innovative smoke curtain prototypes. My passion for upholstery ignited after purchasing my first boat, blending my woodworking precision with fabric craftsmanship. In the last five years, I've dedicated my days to upholstery while pursuing canvas art in my spare time, aspiring to a full-time artistic career yet thriving on transforming boats into masterpieces that exceed client visions. Relocating to Charleston two years ago, I refined my upholstery techniques with a local premium boat builder before establishing my full-time practice on James Island, where I specialize in elevating marine interiors/exteriors with unparalleled detail. I'm always eager to tackle projects in carpentry, decorative and mural painting, or boat restorations, ensuring every endeavor reflects my commitment to beauty and excellence.
